mates i just found another problem
my car is jerking when changing from 1st to 2nd
actually it happens along every gear
just becoming less noticeable as the gear goes up
my uncle (who's a very experienced driver) points out that there might be issues with the clutch
in stead of just the IACV / FITV / thermostat problem
just in case, the worst case :S
how much is the parts + labour for doing the clutch up
wt if i pick an exedy heavy duty clutch
does it extend the clutch life?
parts for excedy heavy duty clutch..$400+ approx and for labour depends.. around 300-500 - depend where u go..
imo fix the iacv & fitv (for cold start idle) then go from there.. check for vac leak..
hope that helps buddy
i had both problems with my dc2 integra, firstly i replaced the thermostat which i think is about $40 from honda and took me like half an hour to change
and 2ndly, the jerking could be a broken rear engine mount, clutch is relatively expensive so check it out properly first

mate this is the first time i hv heard abt the issue with rear engine mount,
could u tell me how could i check if the problem is from the mount?
thz heaps!!
1. physically look at the mount
2. grab the intake manifold and see whether you can rock the engine back and forth(with it off and cool of course)
3. lifting off the throttle usually results in the shifting rocking back and forth too
4. pop the bonnet and watch the motor and rev it at the same time, excessive movement could mean a broken rear mount or torque mounts
