Guys, anyone have trouble getting their bulb in properly? I've just left mine like this for ages, anyone reckon it might help with glare and all that if i turn it in fully? It just won't seem to turn any further..

    wrong way

    right way

Do you guys have D2R or D2S bulbs?

dun think you can use D2R or D2S unless you retrofit some OEM projectors from maybe the s2k?

feeling kinda bad that i've got hids in my reflectors (even though the car has been lowered).
so i'm very tempted to do a proper retrofit soon...

anyone know the link to the 8thcivic forum thread? or any other threads?

I feel bad too, but oh well, police aren't strict about it here in the US, and most HID kids aren't completely intolerable anyway - unless they're stupid and put the wrong bulbs in resulting in constant high beam...

Dude, a retro is really big work, I'd love to do it too + it looks great, but it's fiddly shit, and knowing my patience and skills... yeah

I've never had D2R bulb in hand so unable to confirm firsthand. But according
to my notes, they're notched differently so D2S isn't a drop in plug n play.
D2R is made for reflection bowl. D2S is made for projection designed bowl.
If you retrofitted D2S into a D2R socket, the light output may appear slightly
brighter but the beam pattern will not be optimum and may result in hot spots
Some guy on 8th told me to take a look here too - http://www.theretrofitsource.com/ supposeively u can buy a DIY kit which is a 'no cutting just baking' option

anyway, anyone know ways to get that fvckin bulb in properly?

    LOL lapse in concentration

    let me fix it.

I feel bad too, but oh well, police aren't strict about it here as they are in the US
and not every car-owner plays the self-righteous vigilante role unlike what happens in the US either
