No clean stock classic WRXs around even, apart from 2 over priced "Red Mica" (crimson red) ones. Horrible colour!
    So do I!

I just can't legally drive it yet, if I was to get pulled over I'd be done for haha. Such a shame. That's why I'm after a stock teg

Alex after the conversion i got my car registered with the motor without requiring a mod plate. (yes it really did pass all the scutiny it was under) I believe p platers are only restricted from driving cars with conversions that require a mod plate - which mine did not require.

I can show you registration paperwork. Engine is registered to the vehicle, no mod plate was required. Passed rwc and qld transport.

P platers cant drive turbos, superchargers, or anything with a certain power to weight ratio... Im guessing that what stops him driving it. I think technically us QLD P platers cant drive a dc2r?

While that it is true, the reason I'm hesitant is that it's had an engine conversion done to it. Is it legal for me' to drive it?

alex are you seriously asking a guy that thinks a dc2r is not a p plater friendly car for advice? no offence samoth but yeah.

anyways like i said, a conversion is not the issue its a conversion that requires a mod plate that is a problem. And like ive explained, i can show you paperwork, my car did not require a mod plate for registration. At the end of the day, the paperwork covers your ass. If the boys up stairs approved, why would you listen to someone on a forum.

I cant stress anymore, i have the documentation still in my car. At the end of the day, a police officer can frame you into a fine for anything. Don't go houning around and you'll be fine.

Sorry mate, the power to weight ratio doesn't apply to QLD p platers, go have a look at the QLD transport website.

Yea man, nothin' is right. All of the ones on atm have been there for ages, no takers. They look like tired examples. I reckon you should consider a pre-facelift, you'll be waiting around ages for a 98-99. They don't seem that plentiful right now.

I'm still sitting on my EM1, actually I'm planning to put some fresh rubber (T1Rs) on. I'll trade up but if I find a nice car, but I'm in no hurry.

So how much is your budget after your tax return?
