No matter what not used or used ....it shouldnt do that..ive seen my grandpas old 84 Cressida had A/c and he ran it all the time and it was still original and didnt blow out the side.... Honda have become tight asses ... gone are the days of their reliable japanese cars... now are the days of japanese motors and cheap other shit around it...

So what is your point - you are lucky? It is common knowledge that the best way to keep an air-con in good condition is to use it often.

It's a design flaw in that compressor... and I agree, Honda should be accountable. Happened to my 2004 jazz, my mothers 2004 crv and a mates crv. When I took it the jazz to Honda they wanted $3,000 to fix it... Screw that! So I took it to a workshop in Brisbane that specialises in Honda's and when I got there, the mechanic also showed me an Accord Euro he was working on that had exactly the same issue. He said he had seen quite a few Hondas from around that year with it. Pathetic!

And how much did the mechanic charge you to fix it?
