yeah, did that last night, and went straight out and bought a heat sheild this morning for it... its all legal now
CBF taking photos of it right now because it was a real tricky piece of work getting it in with the bracket and all the rest of it... lol... on that note, the power gain is noticable on a D-Series engine... had a turbo-charged subaru outback with a nice exhaust on it give me a run at a set of lights... but i stopped trying at 60km/h because i'm good lil boy

All depends on the policeman unfortunately... A mate of mine had CAI setup, pod down inside the front bar and they still put it down as a defect. simply because it wasn't stock.... They can pretty much defect anything they want to be honest.... Meh, don't worry about it man, the sound and slight power increase are worth the tiny risk

Not sure where Healesville is (NSW / Sydney i'm guessing), but in QLD they generally don't cause too much issue with things like this... the only time they go thru ur car with a fine tooth comb is if ur acting like a complete twat and deserve to get defected... with all the hooning laws up here its hard for ppl doing dodgy stuff to get away with it anymore... as long as the car isn't slammed to the shit-house and looks respectable and ur not driving ridiculously they'll leave u alone... exposed they'll put on a turn, but the if its covered by at least a heat sheild they don't worry... still got all the stock parts handy anyway just incase

Hey man let me know how the BCs treat you as im looking into buying a set soon. Cheers
-
there great i also have them on my ES and they are awesome, been thru many track days.
i took it for a drive last nite and all was set on 0 and it felt awesome, it stiffened up the car alot and took all the roll out. i also changed the spring rate when i ordered them so these are a bit stiffer then the usual EK spring you get with them.
the EK is a track only car.

what are the spring rate for BC? Just curious as im wanting to buy these in the near future....
Isnt the Ek9's running some where around 8-9kg/mm factory? so these coilovers would some what needa be around 10-12kg/mm to put perform ek9 suspension right
-
i think when ordering BC, you can specify what spring rates you want. 12F 10R sounds good but you have to put up with the harsh ride lols
-
yes like eekayfour said when u order BC u can specify what spring rates u want. i choose the 12f 10R, as per what its suppose to be 12/6, which is really off if u ask me.

Hardrace stuff is AWESOME!! i am rockin there Spherical trailing arm bushing. spot on gear. Not sure on those BC's to be honest, but then i haven't tryed them so i can't say much. They just seem to remind me of all the rest of the generic coil over brands eg. D2, HSD, K-sport etc. Can't wait to be out on the track with you and your EK mate

yea 12/6 sounds abit uneven, hmmm, 12/10 sounds like the good combo
Harsh rides are what makes the experience for coilovers better, lol
