hey mike, hope u dont end up parting with it, but i guess lifes unexpected.... an ur rite bout spendin on a track car, its money goin to waste when could be spent on making ur home even better lol
as the years go by, the rules get tougher, law change, an only a matter of time before all the imports/modded cars are off the road to pave the road for safer an more eco gay cars

An engineerings certificate fixes the problem with driving a modded car on the roads and it always will. For us enthusiasts if we dont do things right and dont get an engineerings certificate and so on then when we get caught we just have to accept the consequence because at the end of the day they allow us to have modded cars and do what we want to them as long as theres an engineerings certificate as well.

just for argument sake, even so if we do get engineers cert, odds are, they'l always find a way, an will find a way to defect the car, thats just the reality, few mates have that engineering cert for intercooler an seats, an in the end, still got done... pretty much sums it... we have no proper say, even with that cert, its still down to the coppers discretion really....
-
engineers cert means shit if it's not printed on rego label,
whether its engineered or not, police and still request it get sent back to epa for full vehicle standards inspection

I wouldn't say its money gone to waste. Its money gone to fun, to satisfy your/my competitive spirit
Anyway, enough talk on this. the thread has skewed off sideways.

Just on this - if I replace my stock EK seats with Recaro SR3s does this mean I officially need an engineering certificate or risk getting defected?
-
sr3's recline so its fine
