    All models pre-2004 are AP1. All models from 2004-2009 are AP2. In addition to the cosmetic updates, there were several mechanical and electronic updates, and of course the F22 was introduced in the States. Despite missing arguably the most significant part of the upgrade in Australia - the 2.2L engine - all 2004+ AUDM S2000s are classified as AP2s by Honda, as "AP1" or "AP2" is the designated chassis code and is not a reference to the engine.

    does anyone notice that have the pics are different the steering wheel is on the right side then on the other pics its on the left side...

    They are however an AP1, as any AUDM S2000 VIN / chassis number will point out.
    They are just referred to as AP2's for simplicity sake.

    It's a confusing setup but they're referred to as an AP2 because that's what Honda refers to them as, despite the VIN codes.

    The price would have been worth it when they first started coming out but the cars getting a little dated in terms of the competition.

    that is strange. I was going by what's in the VIN.

    yeah, but someone who's a crazy enough Honda enthusiast/collector might pay that much for an untouched example. if I was rolling in money I'd buy it in a flash
