ku31s are quite stretchy imo. Had them on my previous rims and getting them shortly again. Shouldnt be too much of a worry mate. Just may look a bit stretched is all, helps to reduce scrubbing though if your cars dumped.
will 18x8 +48 with 225/40 tyres fit an 2006 fd with coilovers? dont have coilovers yet but will be running them in the future... this offset business is pretty damn confusing! some offsets you can run coils some you cant some widths you can some you cant!! haha thanks in advance for your help!

+48 is really tight.... i think it might hit ur coilovers (but if i remember correctly, someone said it JUST fits?). and u should prob run 215/40 tyres just in case

so 18x8.5 with 235/35 or 235/40 would be really really tight?!?!
hmmm..scrubbing around the inner side of the wheels aye?..not outer (fender area)
what if i keep my spacers?
18x8.5 should be ok but u shouldnt need spacers depending on the offset of ur wheels.
what is the offset of those wheels?
also, 235s will rub on ur guards

its +47, you reckon? as i really wanna go 235s
..theres a guy running on 18x8.5 +48 235/40..no issues..however hes still on stock suspension..
im not really going to dump the car.. currently its sitting on 1finger gap all around with stock 17s on 15mm spacers..just flushed..doesnt rub at all even on uneven roads..

Im on 235/40/18's now , doesnt rub at all, I must say it was a pretty tight, probably 2-3mm from the rubber gas cover
