how much did it cost then?
do u have a photo of the drls before install? so i can compare with mine. its just that im pretty sure jdm toy and jaycar all source similar products from china, which are the same ones off ebay. thats why i decided to get it from deal extreme, cause they look exactly the same but only $10

if u are using blutack...doesnt it melt? i have blutack on the inside of my car and it soften up to become useless, i cant imagine it being on the outside :S

and euroR, that sounds awesome...u need a video of u doing a driveby so we can hear the driving sound. did u get a kn filter as well? would go well together

You can used the OEM upper mounts for tein basic. However Tein super street they provided you complete set include the upper mounts.

Hey guys, does anyone know what bulbs can replace the light for the rear number plate? I wanna change mine to white so they can match my H.I.D's, which are 6000k.

look for T10 LED bulbs x2, but the hard part is finding the right LED that matches your 6000k, or even finding two LED that have the exact colour. I went thru 3-4 pairs before finding closer match.

    OMFG GUYS.

shittest start to the new year...

    here's the story:
so i parked the CU2 outside my girlfriends house and we both cabbed it to a NYE party only because I knew i was gonna get drunk there, so i didn't wanna drive to the party and leave the car there and cab home.

ANYWAYS, during the process of me getting drunk some idiots around my girlfriend's neighbourhood (which isn't known to be a very chaotic, quite peaceful) decided to use some sort of sharp object and draw on the paint of my CU2, definately sharper than a key because the scratches are FREAKEN DEEP!

help me out guys, got any ideas on how i can touch all this up so it's like new again, i'm really praying that i don't have to re-spray the entire car again, my budget is too low for that option. Friends have been telling me that there are places out there who can touch it up with a special spray pen that kind of looks like a tattoo pen. Anyone know about this? If so please let me know about these places, it'll be much more cheaper than spraying the entire car.

here's a picture of the poor thing.

this is only one part, it is pretty much like this on the other side of my car and on the boot. luckily they didn't touch the front of my car.

so i can imagine their reaction if they had saw that the resonator being absent from the engine bay.

to those guys on the edge of their seat waiting for the before and after of the resonator video, you guys gotta have to wait a few more days (most likely after new years) cos i'm too busy at work.

which reminds me, HAPPY NEW YEARS CU2 MODDERS!

    EDIT
ok, so i had some free time, so here they are:

    BEFORE:

    AFTER:

cbf blurring out numberplate, this is for those guys waiting for it, personally i don't think there's THAT much of a difference revving in one spot like i am doing in the videos, the sound is much more pleasing to hear when actually driving down roads and hitting that 3000rps, orgasm to ears
Haha yeahh...probably hit 10k at the end of Jan. It's a much deeper "RAWRRRR" without the resonator lol.

I think someone's mentioned this but yeah it's 2 T10 Bulbs, just get the single LED ones, that's what I've got

Ewwwwww FK THAT! Happened to my friend who parked his car outside his cousin's house. Cost about $600 with insurance to repair the key marks :S. It sucks even more coz it's a black car . That's why I avoid driving my Euro out...usually drive my Jazz out if it's somewhere I park and don't have eyes on :P

Anyways best of luck getting all that fixed man :S

and Happy New Year all may 2011 be twice as epic for everyone !!

    That is not good!
    Hope karma hits them hard

    Furythree
Blue tack used to decide location only
The ones I got come with a separate mount, screwed up under bar
DRLs can then be adjusted or removed independantly of bracket

    ugh
i was stopped on the side of the road on pitt st on NYE to pick up my gf
i stopped and relaxed a few seconds. then BOOM my car jolts forward. i look behind me, the street is completely empty except for one doofus who tried to squeeze a bloody commodore in behind my euro. there was a 1km stretch of empty road for him to park, and he insisted on squeezing behind my car wtff
i got out and THANK BLOODY GOD NO DENT (this is the SECOND TIME ITS HAPPENED!) and the whole time the dude was like oh man so sorry, its not even my car. im like I DONT CARE IF ITS NOT UR CAR< UR STILL RESPONSIBLE!
but he was nice about it and gave me his details and offered to wire me the cost of repairs. There was no evident bumper damage, but there was one deep scratch/hole (his nose nudged my bumper so went inwards and not scrappppppppee along the length, thank god)
the hole is a bit deep as it literally looks like a little crater. touch up paint wont work, becasue its deep and needs something to fill the hole first.

the problem is, im geting a lip installed soon, so it SHOULD cover up the scratch. but since hes offering to pay for it...is it worth going to someplace to get it fixed up and then billing him anyway? and its so insignificant to go to all the trouble of booking in a tiny repair like that...but i hate looking at it!
