i got out and THANK BLOODY GOD NO DENT (this is the SECOND TIME ITS HAPPENED!) and the whole time the dude was like oh man so sorry, its not even my car. im like I DONT CARE IF ITS NOT UR CAR< UR STILL RESPONSIBLE!
but he was nice about it and gave me his details and offered to wire me the cost of repairs. There was no evident bumper damage, but there was one deep scratch/hole (his nose nudged my bumper so went inwards and not scrappppppppee along the length, thank god)
the hole is a bit deep as it literally looks like a little crater. touch up paint wont work, becasue its deep and needs something to fill the hole first.

the problem is, im geting a lip installed soon, so it SHOULD cover up the scratch. but since hes offering to pay for it...is it worth going to someplace to get it fixed up and then billing him anyway? and its so insignificant to go to all the trouble of booking in a tiny repair like that...but i hate looking at it!
there are always some stupid monkeys out there who are not supposed to drive at all... even worse they don't have any respect for other people's cars.

this afternoon i went to my local Woolies and chose an empty spot away from other cars... then there was this monkey Camry driver decided to park so close next to my car, like 50cms away, although there were like 30 other empty car spots everywhere.

luckily i was still in the car and immediately i drove away before the monkeys inside the Camry had any chance of striking their doors wide open into my car.

I feel the pain you are suffering guys...

I have had bad experiences with previous cars.. burnt in basement garage (written off), hit from the back by a driver who was talking on a mobile phone (repaired), crushed by a scavenger truck (written off).

Yes of course you should repair it and have him cover it as it detracts from the value of your. Otherwise, sooner or later you are going to have to cop the bill one way or another when it comes time to sell the car.

@furythree: even if the lip kit were to cover it, it's best to just get it fixed because maybe down the track you decide to take the lip off and decide on a new kit etc, that piece of damage will eat at you non stop

@euroRwannabe: I think that will have to go under a respray, if your finger nail can catch onto the scratches doesn't sound good. However try speaking to a car detailer and see what they can do first.

Hope these are the last of 2010 woes and onto new 2011 mods and better things!

shittest start to the new year...

    here's the story:
so i parked the CU2 outside my girlfriends house and we both cabbed it to a NYE party only because I knew i was gonna get drunk there, so i didn't wanna drive to the party and leave the car there and cab home.

ANYWAYS, during the process of me getting drunk some idiots around my girlfriend's neighbourhood (which isn't known to be a very chaotic, quite peaceful) decided to use some sort of sharp object and draw on the paint of my CU2, definately sharper than a key because the scratches are FREAKEN DEEP!

help me out guys, got any ideas on how i can touch all this up so it's like new again, i'm really praying that i don't have to re-spray the entire car again, my budget is too low for that option. Friends have been telling me that there are places out there who can touch it up with a special spray pen that kind of looks like a tattoo pen. Anyone know about this? If so please let me know about these places, it'll be much more cheaper than spraying the entire car.

here's a picture of the poor thing.

this is only one part, it is pretty much like this on the other side of my car and on the boot. luckily they didn't touch the front of my car.
    i reckon someones just jealous.

ok sounds like i should get it fixed up...i actually have 4 dings on my doors as well from retards who dont take car in car parks...one on each door...it looks so bad up close cause the touch up paint isnt shiny and smooth.
i feel like i shud invest in those door bumper things. but then uve got ppl who drive cars at different heights so it wont help much.

anyone know of a place i can go in syd for cheap touch up? or shud i get it all done by the panel beater whos going to paint and install my kit? (problem is thats going to be a months time...that guy might not pay up then)

We trying to do it now. Hard part is getting the shocks off first. We still trying to undo it. We don't have a spring compressor.
Ad from what I see. I don't think a spring compressor will fit.

I bought the same ones from the same seller and had them in the car for more than a year and it's still nice and bright.

I called a mech friend. told me to just undo the bottom bolt. and the spring will only pop out about 1 inch or less. so it wont hit the bottom thing i was worried about. and i wont need to use the spring compressor.
i will use the spring compressor anyways. ( found a way to clamp it on )

If i get it done. i will make a DIY stay tuned
