7.8 + 48 is fine but offset is slightly weak for the back
8.5 + 50 might have clearance issue. best to try it on.
I'm not brilliant with working out offsets, but does this mean, they will be to wide? or tuck into the car too much, as I want something that comes out a little more.

stock wheels are 7" wide +45, so being 7.5 or 8.5 means the extra width needs to go either inside, outside or a combination of both. this depends on the offset.
8.5 + 50 means 24mm less inside clearance and extended 14mm on the outside. not sure if it will clear the suspension on the inside since the stock front coil spings are huge. you might want it for the back tho.
7.5 + 48 means 9mm less inside and 3mm more outside which isn't a huge improvement over stock.
