Did you run a new feed of wire through to the door or did you just reuse the old/stock wiring?

Today i finally put my new carpet down

I just ran the speakers off the old wiring as it was already aftermarket, pretty ****ing dumb actually cause they're coaxils and it's component wiring but everything seems to work .. I'll sort it all out eventually, this is just for the time being/short while, they're an improvement which is what I needed !

May i ask how the aftermarket wiring was installed?

I have been meaning to run a new feed of 12 gauge wiring to my doors. I usually go for the stealth method of running it through the rubber boot that goes from the side panel into the door but i have discovered that it actually isnt just a rubber boot. It ends as a plug that plugs into the door. So sliding wire through a plug obviously wont work, and it's a small area to work on so drilling new holes will be a big hassle.

I actually didn't look in depth, but from what I remember on my door, you should just follow the power for the windows, if your car doesn't have power windows that may be why it's plugged off ? If the thing your talking about is the wrippled looking tube, then I'm 99 % sure that's what mine were through.

Feel free to ask anymore questions, sorry if my answers suck haha.

spoon exhaust, some illest stickers, and various decals are on the way.

should be picking up a small sub soon too

^^^ good stuff! Good choice for sub aswell! the max ya need for a sound system is just a small sub. I cant stand it when people put like two massive subs in their car, its so dumb, and sounds like utter crap. Oh look at me my sub can make my mirrors shake hahahaha... Friggin tosser's! /Vent lols!

In fact if you had the perfect setup with good speakers, sound deadener, solid speaker mount's, good quality speaker's, amp etc, you wouldnt even need a sub. I have a small sub though, cause i cant be stuffed going all out with my sound system just yet lawl

the newer model eg's dont have individual wiring, they have a plug and play loom at the door hinge.
so i think thats what his saying.

so if that the case, the inside door loom is removable and u can tuck your 12 gauge wire through
