I'd doubt mugen spoon would use anything other than remodelled exedy parts. Then whack a hefty price tag on it. Most of us choose exedy sport cause it does the job at a decent price.

I used ATS (Active Traction Service) metal single clutch and ATS 3.6kg carbon coated flywheel. Very2 good! increase in performance can really be felt (driven by some other guys as well)

And now using it in my DC5R too.

    re: 2 very different EP3s

    1) First is with Jap brand exhaust and air filter and v-afc

    2) Second is stock EP3 with V-AFC\

Also had a dyno day bout 18mths ago at my dyno for the hondatech forum. not a single honda car passed the 180hp mark on the same dyno. Of course you can say environmental factors do come in.

Also please note: my Dynpack is newest one here in Western Australia.

    Have fun debating!

How many kms have you travelled since your last service with dedy?
3000km. But heard VTEC does eat alot of oil. Maybe i should take my own oil next time or do you think valvoline at dedy is good enough? Maybe buy some off dedy to top off the oil inbetween services?

BTW i just installed my Fujita intake on sat night. I can definately hear when the VTEC crossover on the stock box.... The crossover with CAI sounds like a dump of air getting sucked into the engine, its like a 1 loud subwoofer DOOF!

What oil do you guys use in your EP3? Brand and viscosity?

First service = mobil 1 5w30. Second service = penrite enviro 5w30. Always full synthetic. Hondas new feo is also 5w30 full syn, so maybe some of you guys can try that.

castrol edge 5w30, two services done with it so far on the ep

and seems like my oil burning has reduced a lot since my fresh spark plugs were put in the last oil change... 16 days since the oil/plug change and no drop in my oil level... prior to that I was topping up approx 200ml every few weeks.

should I be using something slightly thicker at 100,000km? is 10w40 ok at this point?

Theres really no point to go to a higher grade unless your car is burning a lot of oil or if its leaking. You do get better protection but however it will make your engine work harder in the thicker oil. If you do plan to use thicker oil, never go over 10w40. In the castrol recommendation book, i say about 90% of toyotas and hondas ever use 10w40 and the highest viscosity they can will ever go is 15w40. So just stick with the viscosity that your car is use to and 100 000kms is really not that bad.
