I fitted some Ultra racing fender braces.

They are GREAT,very stoked with em'

Can hook dem' corners hard now

Thanks Timmy for the recommendation mate!

A product I couldn't recommend more is Liqiud Moly's 'Low friction Oil treatment'

And the best part is,it will pay for itself cause the engine has to work less = lessrpm/effort.

Nice one mate! I'll come over and we'll swap cars so u can feel the new sussy on mine and I can try out ur new setup.

No new plans for the em1, apart from saving up for some good, used red recaros (they must be red). I'm in desperate need of more supportive seats, especially for when I hit the track.

Insurance is up for renewal in 30 days. Premium is up ($854 - WTF?) and value has gone down. They wanna give me a value of 7,500 for the EM1, can u believe that? I gotta weigh up my options. If my car is written off or stolen, I stand to lose some serious money. Dammit, I'm gonna get onto it now.

Cool cool sounds interesting Brett. You've got these now and noticed an improvement?

Just a quick question for you all. I may have found a cheap set of coilovers for my car. They are used but do not have any info on the mileage they have done already, I am assured they are in good condition and no leaks. What I am wondering is the fronts are Tein brand and the rears are KYB brand, like matched pairs to make the kit or something. Any particular reason why this would not be recommended? I should think it would be alright but want some opinions.

What else would I need for the car, I keep reading about control arm kits and stuff. Do I need these now or can I get them later? Do I need them at all?

For sway bars I have been looking around, my car already has front and rear lower sway bars (I'm guessing from standard) so thinking about saving for upper bars as well?

At the end of the day just looking to improve handling, if I can lower it some as well then that's a secondary benefit.

    Thanks guys.

KYB what and TEIN what? Find out the name of the models. And then find the spring rates/damper settings. Do your research man to see if they can be matched well.

What do you mean control arm kits? You mean camber kit? It's only advisable if your dropping it more than 2".

As far as sway bars go. Find a thicker Rear sway bar. That'll improve ur handling performance the most as a start. Get upper bars later. Strut bar should be the 1st one for upper braces.

If I was worried about weight, I'd be skinny like Tim.

Whatever sense you can make from this. I am waiting to hear from him.

the front are tein HA with cusco adj camber top, rear a kyb, made from alloy, so lighter, both are coilovers. coilover in gd cond, no leak at all

Thanks Mike, have asked those details for clarification.

So for the rear sway bar, you mean lower right? A thicker one will improve handling?

And for strut bar 1st for upper braces, you mean the front strut bar that goes like over the engine or thereabouts? I wouldn't mind one of these, they look cool. (I mean, I want the handling improvements, ahem)

Yes, and yes again for both of your questions.
