I am not sure My11 models they started using Michelin tyres.. Mine is Jan 2010 built My10 came with Yokkohama decibel.. I don't know its random they use michelin tyres... May be some others bought the standard euro recently can confirm this.

I just look at carsales website for standard model car tyre picture and this below 2010 My10 demo euro, if you guys look at the closeup tyre picture it shows "Turanza", this means the tyre is Bridestone.. Seems like for standard EUro they use mix bag of tyres, Yoko, Michelin, Bridstone, unlike they use Michelin only for lux models....

Most makes have deals with several tyre brands, so it's more of a lottery as to what you get. Apart from the Korean brands who stick with Korean tyre brands only.

Conti are used as OEM by Merc (check out the C class, most have Conti Sport Contact 3), Renault and VW.... but haven't seen any Japanese / Korean / Australian cars use them as OEM

I would have thought Honda don't choose tyres randomly... it's a different case with VW Golf cos they make heaps more cars to cater the worldwide market.

Wealth of reviews on tyres (some comments are clueless though.. eg: ppl complaining on summer tyres having no grip on snow):

    http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/

The CL9 16" came with Dunlop Sp Sports and 17" was Bridgestone Potenza RE040 (2004 all the way to 2008).

My guesstimate is that the CU2's seen with different tyres would probably have had tyres replaced locally..

anyway, i think i'm a wheel and tyre whore
