I am looking to get a flip key. can someone tell me the best place to get one from? I looked at my OEM key last night and it had the FCC ID: MLBHLIK-1T & IC # : 2500A-HLIK1T.
I see Acura key for around $80US but need the key blade replaced.

Can I get the key blade replaced over here or should I just buy a new key from the start???

    Thanks

I bought my keys from the same seller and it was heaps easy to program the remote with the instructions provided. Just need to get the key milled and the immobiliser programmed by honda. Looks and feels like the real thing

I see you got the 4 button version. I asked him for the 3 button version (lock/Unlock/Trunk) He told me that he had a 3 button version for $55 delivered.

Did you get it cut at the Honda dealer? I was going to go to my local Locksmith first and just have my Honda dealer do the immobiliser programmed for me.
Ho long did yours take to be delivered?

It took about 10 business days to be delivered. It doesn't really matter which version you get because the red panic button doesn't work for our cars anyway and i got mine for $45...plus getting the key cut for $55 all up cost me $100. I got my key cut at a good locksmith so no risk of stuffing up. If your lucky Honda might program it for you for free!!

I just tested my genuine Acura TSX with my Euro and the red panic button works fine. The alarm went off, headlights and indicators flashed etc, wouldn't stop until I pressed unlock. Though, this may be different for the CL9 because it runs on a different frequency to the CU2.

The only thing that the key can't do with our CU2 is the memory seat function which is apparent in the TSX. Sambo, don't buy the used keys. They can't be reprogrammed and I don't even think they made a blank blade for the switchblades.

    New Flip Key

Hi guys just an update on my Flip Key.

I received it Thursday (21/07/2011) from Taiwan which I thought was very quick delivery as I just ordered it a week ago (13/07/2011)

I got it from this seller
    http://stores.ebay.com/flipkey/Honda...=p4634.c0.m322

He did not have the 3 button flip key on his Ebay store page, so I just sent him a message which he confirm that he had 3 button flip key in stock. Make sure you send him your FCC ID number, IC Number and the letter which is located on the blade of the key ( I had L on my key)

I got the key cut for $44 at Millennium locksmith in east Brisbane(beside the Gabba) They had abit of trouble getting the key to fit but after a bit of filling it work like a charm!!

As my Euro was getting its 10000K service the next day I called round to see the service manager of my dealership to if they would code the key for me. At first he said the key would not work in an Australian Euro as they use a different system. I explained to him that other Euro drivers had been able to get their key coded without issue. He finely agreed to try.

Making a long story short it worked just fine!!! best of all he did not charge me

All up the key cost $55 delivered and $44 to get it cut so $99 in total.

Here photo of my new Flip Key!!

    What dealership?

I might get one for the other car, does it feel weird having the key sideways?

Hey ICU2, you have a switchblade don't you? Is yours sideways like theirs or just like our normal keys? And how much did you get yours for if I may ask? (PM ?)
