    I personally won't let any mechanic work on my car. Do it all myself. That and the fact I am in Sydney means I can't help with recommendations.

    I am familiar with the 'polish the knob' procedure you speak of.

    And with regards to metal in your gearbox, that's what the flush is for.

    am seriously thinking of moving to sydney or something. Everyone and everything can be found there and done there soo much easier.

    you know what? i am thinking of going on a holiday. i wonder if it's healthy to drive it all the way there as it is? it'll be annoying constantly with the dodgey clutch and gears not going in rigt though.

    have you checked the fluid level yet?
    pop the hood and take a look


    if it's low on fluid, top it up.. if it goes low again there's prob a leak

    Also check the colour. New fluid is blue or gold and translucent, old is dark and opaque.

    If it's low, which i suspect it will be. What do i use to top it up?

    Lol i know that much! but should i just go oem? is there better stuff? i jsut spoke with essendon honda. i'm going to get them to look into it. i need to get a master cylinder and they said less likely to be a slave. is there any heavy duty stuff? he said oem would be 600-700
