Does the M80 interfere with the current s2k's bulit in immobiliser?
So what does the s2k owners use?

    You can get an MAP80G.
This is the upgrade model, I think.

Some alarms allow you to install them ONTOP of the current immobiliser. You could essentially have 4-points. LOL.

I mainly find people suggest alarms that they themselves use; not neccessaily because they have intricate experiance with them.

FYI, My car came pre-fitted with an alarm that I recommended to the previous owner. I'll be ripping that out and putting one of our ones in.

    hey dude...

i got one installed from a guy i know that works for himself.. he got me a alarm which still uses the original remote.. coz i didnt wanna carry 2 remotes, as our remote has the boot release and i use that a lot coz our car has no space inside.. its pretty good..also coz he works for himself he really takes the time to make everything right and not have bundles of wire everywhere.. good wiring skills..

    -black wiring
    -fuel cut
    -ignition cut
-its got the normal standard alarm features

the standard alarm/immobiliser still works and all the functions of the remote also still work so i like it...

just gimme a yell if u want the guys number... i think it cost me about $300 or so fitted..

to be honest , alarms dont really do shit these days . When you hear a car alarm these days , do you really do anything about it ?

In saying that i had the Mongose M80 installed in mine with the mircowave sensor and 3 point immobilizer as well . The 3 extra immobilizer didnt interfere with the OEM system .

All up , cost me $350 fitted . Very good alarm i must say . Alot of features (which you never end up using ) .

My girlfriend's s2000 also has the same system fitted to her car. As for tracking systems , if your not insured then you will need one , but they really are pointless . Cause if theives want your car they will get it no matter what .

    I do, Vuey. LOL

We're getting Rhino Tracks and Rhino RAM system put in to the work car this week.

Tracking systems can be very useful for fleet cars.

I am seriously looking into getting one as well. What do i go for? i want one that'll beep the remote and let me know somethings up. so i can run out and pound the bastards. my car got keyed infront of my house. My mums rear window was smashed infront of our house. I want to wake up and catch the bastards right away. and prevent ofcourse them from taking the car or my sound system.

I use ebay alarms for all of my cars.. Because in the end, it's not what brand alarm that matters - it's how well it's installed that does.

I use one remote, and one remote only - I have all functions any alarm would have, have boot release, silent mode, panic mode. My immobilizer is still in tact, my central locking works as per factory, my lights flash when I arm/disarm, my boot pops up as it would with the factory remote. All my wires are black, and all my wires are hidden and cannot be accessed easily. I also have a motion sensor dongle, and the facility to add window modules and other modules as desired. My remote isn't daggy, and doesn't have an LCD screen on it lol.. Pretty good imo.

Best thing, it costed me $60 delivered next day. Ebay ftw! XD Just make sure you get the right person to install it and don't do a bodgey job and you'll be alright. If thieves really wanna steal your car, they will.

    Peace.

You sleep better at night knowing you got the best of the best.. Regardless the fact that in most cases it wont make a difference. Like you said if they want the car, theyll get it. Thats why a GPS tracker is the best option, theyll get the car, but wont go very far with it
