Didn't realise the City Pro was AWD...interesting!

My dad and I have a '83 City Turbo II. I think all of those early City's were sweet looking cars and they actually had quite a bit of poke for something that small.

Nah its not..was going to convert it...but after huge study night found out the hatchback 88-90 model is lighter that the CRX with a wheelbase 100mm longer..better stability under cornering and brakes so that will be the way I go I think.

If you go with Ed civic bumpers you will need ed guards as ed crx guards don't match up to lines and conner light are small on ED civic to crx

    hope that help you
Actually that is not the best advice.

The lower section of the ed-ef civic front gaurds need to be cut and rewelded to fit on a crx.

Boss wrecking in Brisbane deal with CRX but they are pretty pricey.
I also have a audm rear bar with no back plate you could have for 50 dollars if you want it.

Thanks...decided the hatch is lighter to use...so parts will be more plentiful as well...B20 VTEC is under way...still trying to read through all the advice/articles to get my head around it...

If your goign to put on a ED/EF Front from a Civic you need:

    - Front bar
    - Front fillter panel
    - Headlights and corner lights
    - Reinforcement
    - Guards - Where the guards join the apillar will have to be modified to fit the lower sill properly
    - Bonnet is the same

Im considering doing this as im slowly...building my CRX for track but if i can get the aboved sourced cheaply i might also road rego it.

If you do end up with a CRX ill be very interested in your build

    cheers!

How heavy is the hatch mate? The CRX will surely have a lower centre of gravity? How does the hatch compare to a CRX in terms of steering response, handling etc?

I used to work with Frank Matich in F5000s...Peter..his engineer has done some calcs for me..basically the hatch is 10-20kgs lighter...but the big winner is the extra length in wheelbase..CRXs are prone..due to 62/38 weight distrubtion..to swapping ends..read spinning..on the limit...this will cure that to a degree...and it is wider in the track as well..
Centre of gravity is not an issue...lower the car...fit fuel cell in rear...rear pumpkin for 4WD...just about balance it out in our numbers...
