    Depends how big and how low I believe.

    In WA it's 2 sizes up and 1" wider for rims with height at a min of 100mm clearance from lowest point of the car.

    My understanding could be wrong though.

    well my car came with 15x6.5's and im running 18x9's.

    so no point in full car insurance hey....

    I think it also depends if the wheels were the cause of the claim. Eg. rejecting a claim for hailstone damage just because your wheels are oversized. I had comprehensive claims approved even though my wheels were not within specs.
