Not a proper one sorry but you basicly just drill 2 holes through 2 spare pin holes that are next to each other, then you drill out the centre of the 2 holes so it becomes one big oval shaped hole(hope that makes sense), you need to do it on the Male plug(cabin) and female plug(door) then pull the wire through. You could also add new pins in so you dont have to pull the wire through when you take the doors off but i wont be pulling them off often so ill leave it like that while i have it.

heres a pic i took of the plug and ive drawn where the wires are now in yellow and where i drilled in yellow.

The hole in the door is where the female end of the plug is meant to be but mine was out being drilled when i took the pic but gives you an idea of where it is.

    awesome posts man!

yeah i would consider having only the fronts and running one amp, but the amp i have for the sub atm is 2 channel bridged, so i mightaswell get a 4 channel and run the full setup, though when i upgrade my speakers, im definately spending more on the fronts

also props on the clean wiring there, i wouldhave just run an extra wire separate, which would work, but looks messier :P

Nice just thought id recommend it incase you havent thought of it before, if your not after spl it allwos you to get better sq for the price your payin if you already have a 2 ch depending on the quality you could run some front splits off that and buy a mono block for the sub which would leave you more for the splits and deadning, just an idea if your set on going 4 ch focal have a set great 6x9's that would work for rear fill and you wouldnt have to mess around trying to mount 6.5 inch splits in 6x9 holes(assuming you got an ek hatch dunno what the coupes or sedans run yet sorry), most people either love or hate focals so give em a listen before you buy but i love em, only speaker i buy for car audio

Thanks mate i was going to run the wire seperate but the plug is actualy attached to the door so youd have to drill through metal on the door and get an extra grommet for the door so i figured the plug would be better to drill, on alot of the other cars ive done stereos on there is a grommet at both ends so you can just feed the cable through or the plug is in the middle with a grommet on the cabin and door end so you just feed it though and bypass the plug in the middle, the ek1 was different and more time consuming tho

Looked at my car and thought the only car I'd really want to buy is an FD2R sedan. How lucky is this guy:
