Is it possible to change a B18C engine or B16A2 engine to Automatic?

Hey guys i have a DC2 GSI which is currently in Automatic. I was planning on getting a B18C1/2 engine however my wife can't drive manual so i was wondering is it possible to combine my B18B gearbox + LSD with the B18C1/2s? Please no haters
I wanna have a car that has power and that my wife can drive. Thanks

How much will a transmission swap cost you, I wonder? Might it not be more cost-effective to run a second car?

i have a thing about owning 2 cars. And i gotta quote from a friend, transmission swap to manual will lay me back approximately $1-$1.5k. I reckon its worth it

keep in mind that the auto will rob you of A LOT of the B18C's acceleration and it won't feel nearly as powerful.

Buy a vtir for yourself. That way you have a car to yourself and can mod it whichever way possible. Vtir only about 6k if not less

Changing from Manual to Auto transmission will cost you an arm and leg - Auto tranny, removal of clutch pedal, shift linkage changes, ECU changes etc.

if you are going to keep your existing Auto tranny and shift linkages, shifters and pair this up with a B18Cx (DC2 Manual)motor then yes its possible but yet again, you will need to use a AUTO DC2 ECU - in which i dont think DC2's came out in Auto option.

as from what other people are saying, your better off buying another car which has an AUTO tranny - would be the best and cheaper option than buying / sourcing a DC2 B18Cx motor.

    otherwise buy a Skyline GTS4 in Auto & 4WD .. LOL
