    rear plastic window s2k

hi all, i have been looking at replacing my rear plastic window on my ap1 and have been doing a little research as it has been split open and i need too replace it (& just cant stand looking at it anymore) i spoke too someone at Garry Blackman Trimming, and was quoted $770 to fit and replace a new plastic window. But since my roof does leak a little, i have also been looking into Robbins tops as i wanted a rear glass window too, which i was quoted $900 to fit if i supplied the robbins top. Were could i find a resonably priced robbins top (i did look on ebay)? or should i just stick with a new plastic window?

just install the top yourself. You'll need to invest the whole day but sure as hell worth it to save the 900

I beg to differ. OEM has a larger glass rear window.

Second that. Was a bitch of a job though. However I replaced the whole frame with the top itseld ( got a near new condition 2nd hand roof which still had the plastic on). Took me around 8-10 hrs with an extra pair of hands though

OEM is only bigger because they're for the AP2, which is made for glass back.
I just bought one form eBay with that Haartz Stayfast cloth. Its awesome, was about 600 delivered. Comes with a DVD to install yourself.

OEM is bigger because it's bigger. AP numbers don't come into it. Not only did we never get the AP2 here but even in the US the AP2 wasn't introduced until 2004 and the glass rear came in 2002.
