Car shaking 80+kmh *SOLVED*

hey hey!

car JDM TYPE R DC2 tegiwaaaaa :P

was driving, about 110-120kmh all of a sudden the car started shaking, as if it would when u have an unbalanced wheel.

so i took the car straight home, jacked it up put it in gear, and watched the front left wheel, and true enough the wheel was wobbling as if it was buckled...

how does this just happen?? i didnt go over any bumps or anything it just happened

also when i had the car jacked up, the drivers side wheel would spin normal where the passenger side would shudder around slowly unless i revved the car ( no i didnt free rev the shit out of the car ) also made a bit of a funny clunk sound?

is that just the diff doing its thing because the type r dont have a TRUE Limited slip diff?

they are also the factory JDM 4 stud rims

and i should also add i put a flat bit of metal on the cv as it spun around and it is running in a perfect true circle ( so it felt )

shouldnt be any noise or clunking dude - sounds more like blown diff or driveshaft or tripod bearings etc - get it looked at !

you already looked at it :P it still drives fine, im hardly worried about the gearbox. i have a spare , anyway, i just need to understand how i could have buckled a rim witout hitting anything :/

Could be your wheel bearing (hub bearing) can u move ur wheel if u grab the bottom and top and move it forward and backward

check your wheels bearings,, re torqued all wheel nuts evenly in star shape

not the wheel bearings checked that first, redid the wheel nuts just then, see how it goes

tried and tried to fix this tonight, even put a different set of rims on. cant get rid of the wobble, im going to take it to pedders and just get them to fix it, i have to much work going on to sort it out atm.'

ill let everyone know how it goes tomorrow arvo.
