Fitme I like ya optimism but I would think your 17x7, 17x8 rims ? actually weigh around 16lbs+ maybe even heavier yhan the EP3's. The 10lb rims once made are the 14x5.
hmm maybe my scale is off?..because the largest 17 direzza weigths around 19.58lbs(17x9)
and my one is 17x7..so maybe it will be between10-15lbs give and take...
using my scale...there is a 5-6lbs difference between EP3 and Dunlop
Yeah, the scales won't measure correctly like that for some reason. Best way is like how Steve mentioned. Or just Google it.
the 17x9 weighs 19.5lbs according to dunlops website, yeah the scale doesnt measure the exact weight...but comparing it to the EP3 rims
it weighs less 5-6lbs
The old style scale certainly isn't accurate ! try weighing ya self first then pick up the rim, what does it read ?
should have done this before, to get the nearest possible weight...
edit:
its 7kgs 17x7 (15.4lbs) according to their website
So a reputable steering and suspension place took my coil-overs off today, after never adjusting them since putting them on.
When i got home today my g/f noticed a clicking/clunking sound happening when the car is even on a slow roll. With the steering wheel straight and even on full lock.
This never was the case when my car was on coils...
Now i know, from trolling these forums for 4-5 years.. that people with the FD civic had problems with the knuckle or something popping out when swapping coils..
Could this by any chance be the reason why its clicking.. i mean i drove home.. 30-40 kms fine.. no issues.
ekdez so they only took the coilovers off ? they didn't pull the coils off the struts ? what other work did they do ? I'd be checking the top of the struts, make sure the 3 bolts are tight with no movement. You could grab a 14mm sockets and make sure they are tight.
Hey mate yeah, I should have stated that they only took the coilovers out and out the oem sus back in. I called the guy today and he said I could bring it back in for a look.. But that's 4 days away cos of the canberra day public holiday.. I said have you any idea's, and he said it may be the backing plate for the brake disk.. So I'll be checkin everything thus weekend haha thanks again
