lolk sorry yo.
everyone legit needs to lighten up, forums don't have to be a place where people dread to communicate with one another because they're scared they're going to get hated on. But for those who do 'troll' (ohsc) it's all in good faith, and although newcomers aren't familiar with it it's not hard to pick up legit information from a group of people just having a laugh and a good time.
All in all, if you take away all the trolling attempts, everyone here displays courtesy to one another in their own way, and majority of us will give a good lot of useful information in the end.

Not that a cat has pissed in my bed.
I think everyone just needs to take things with a grain of salt, but once again, there is no need to be rude, aggressive or insulting. Having a laugh is completely different than a personal attack.

Who's to say a 16-17yo kid wants to come on and learn about hondas or even just browse around.
As cracker said, people need to chill and get off their high horses.
You can guide people without outright rudeness and insulting and if it bugs you that much then take a hike and leave
Of course i agree that not everyone that joins which asks a newb question is gonna be a leecher. But maybe it would be a good requirement before someone can make a thread, just introduce themselves. even if they dont have a honda, it will enforce them to read some rules before posting and also prevent 1 timers.

why? who cares if they are 1 timers? if you work in retail, are you not going to help out a customer who only plans on shopping from you on this single occasion?

Retail is not a good comparison, your helping the customer to make money, of course you will help people who only shop from you on 1 occasion.
We get nothing from helping people other than the satisfaction of helping.

exactly. One must show an inclination of wanting to help themselves. This gives much more satisfaction for both parties involved.
No good just feeding people fish.
teach them to fish so they can feed themselves.
I guess issue is the attitude. this goes for all, not just for the one side.
