    Rmf headers

    Hey guys,
Looking at buying some RMF 4-1 headers for my dc2r. Cant find the advice needed for the install. Will these fit up with my standards aus spec exhaust? or what will be needed to fit.

Also what sort of price would you pay for these? they were 450 which seems OK i though?

    cheers

i think you need to either swap your fans for slim ones or cut out some of the shroud to fit them on DC2.

Yea what super DA9 said. I have some sitting in my warddrobe waiting to be installed, they cost me $500 ($150) shipping. The fan shroud NEEDS to be trimmed and possibly the o2 sensor wires needs to be extended or purchase a new one with longer wires.

THey make GREAT POWER and the ground clearance is probably the best i have seen for a 4-1 header.

Any decent exhaust shop will. You may also break a head bolt off that will need to be replaced ,if your car hasnt had the header changed since factory

Anyone know what are the easiest to install 4 -1 headers for AUDC2R. Are there any that bolt straight on and dont require changing the cat or exhaust.

WHy would you want to do that though? You would be bottlenecking the whole system. To get the real benefits from headers you need a bigger exhaust to match the collector and high flow cat

Yeah, I suppose its not really worth it unless doing the whole thing. The headers on the AU model are fairly crap, i thought there may be a simple replacement to get better power.

i have the rmf kiddracing headers, i experainced that i couldn't use my oem fans because the fan blades would touch the header. so i needed the slim line fan. yes this is with the stock oem radiator.

its a must for anyone using a dual core radiator. heres a few pics

I got away with just trimming my fan shroud in my EG:

Most people get away with trimming, could be lots of things wrong maybe my engine mounts were stuffed or something. Or maybe the replica version has a better fit.

Who knows but its best to run a slim line fan.
