    Ep3 - Intake and Exhaust

    Hey there,

I am just wondering which Intake and Exhaust you guys are running and why.

My car is completely stock and planning to do some upgrade for better air flow and sound, I'm not chasing for more power in this upgrade.

I did some research and most people recommend the Gruppe M intake but I think its abit too much where the intake needs to be coming out from the bonnet. Anything else I can look at?

For exhaust. I think the HKS Hi Power sounds good http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=NQuelyu8ql0 .

    Thanks alot!
    Tony

PS. I am totally new at mods so any advice is much appreciated

Many EP3 owners have the Fujitsubo RM01A and they say its very good, I don't have one myself but my mate has one and doesn't regret getting it.

I've got the RM01A. Virtually silent until you hit vtec. Highly recommend it.

I don't think there is much point getting headers on the Ep3 if you are looking for the full I/H/E. It's comes stock with a 4-2-1 so not much to be gained. Food for thought anyway.

Not true man at all, sorry.
J's racing header will give you up to 139kw's and others up to 147kw's. Well worth it IMHO.

Haha. Thought that would get a response. I read somewhere that there's not much gain to be made. There is always going to be something to gain from any aftermarket part but would be the least bang for your buck out of the intake, exhaust and header. That much is for sure.

At the end of the day, unless you get a tune, any power gains you get from I/H/E will pretty much be negligible.

I'm running Toda exhaust and Gruppem btw.
