    HID in poverty pack Euro?

Hey guys, I went to Autobarn to buy new headlight bulbs recently and the guy behind the counter tried telling me that my base model '05 Euro has HID's and I haven't had time to pull anything apart but is there an easy way to tell? From what i've read on here they were only standard on the Lux model.
Anyway, the reason I've had problems with my headlights is one night after a bad storm I noticed water in my drivers side headlight and a few days later when I turned on my lights I noticed that it was out, a couple of times after that it worked but then would randomly flicker out and now it hasn't worked at all for months... The water is still in there, it just looks like condensation on the inside of the headlight every morning... Is it possible to pull the headlight apart and get all the water out and it will come good or replace the bulb or whole headlight?

Luxury models will have hids, base will not.

You have a crack or something that water went in? Well generally the cl9 headlights suffered from a poor seal that would get condensation. Mine also get. Best place to get fixed is headlight plus in moorabin. They have fixed alot of euro headlights. After fix no more condensarion. They open the headlight, clean and reseal better. Cost should be 80$ per light

Water condensation is a known problem in CL9's, you can try to take it all apart yourself and get out the moisture but when your reseal it chances are that it won't make a 100% seal and will eventually build up water again in there - try looking at finding a professional who will do this.

The base Euro's don't have HID's, nor the projectors, auto-levellers and washers that you'll need if you do choose to go the after-market path (and want a legal, road worthy car).

If you do get your headlight working again then the Osram Night Breaker Plus has very good reviews as being one of the best halogen bulbs available.

+1 for night breakers! Best halogen bulb I've ever used! Have switched to them after getting sick of dealing with uneven HID glare on the ground produced by EK stock reflectors.

Not to mention the FM interference produced by el cheapo eBay ballasts

Thanks for confirmation guys, I was 99% sure i didn't have HID's, I'll be sure to go to that place roony, Moorabin is pretty close by... Where would I find these Night breakers you speak of? The legal, road worthy ship has sailed unfortunately, my missus is a cop and she cringes everytime she gets in my stupidly lowered car with T5 window tint... lol
