My clutch still has a slight squeak but the grease was like dark grey and the whole cylinder was covered in it! Just wondering if I need to replace or not...

Just top it up now and mark where you topped up to. Then check it every day and if it's going down then could be the CMC, but if it's not leaking then why change it. They're not cheap and time consuming to change.

When you top it up did you bleed it?

I topped up barely anything now. And no, i didn't bleed it. I assumed that was only when you flush the system?

if its losing fluid its going somewhere, it's not like it "uses" fluid so to speak. so if it dropped to "Min" then it is leaking somewhere, most likely the master cylinder.

an easy to spot sign of a leaking master cylinder is seeing leaked fluid where the shaft connects to the clutch pedal inside the car, or on the firewall around the cylinder itself.

Right, I'll check that soon. So how long can I go on with it leaking?
