dumb question guys, but when the fuel light pops up does it mean i have 10Ls left in the tank?
because i was driving home yesterday, and my fuel gauge was sitting on 2 bars above empty, crapping my pants to find a petrol station home, but my light never come on~ i was confused cause the light normally comes on before that,
LED gone? maybe?
I let my Mrs hit Vtec, Maybe you should too!

The fuel light in mine is a bit weird too. Sometimes it comes on, then goes off, I drive to and form work for another day or two and then it comes back on again. I reckon there would have to be around 10 litres left in the tank when it comes on, I have driven for ages with it on and not run out.

I filled up yesterday at 46ltrs and vteced a few times before I got there. I worked out that I am only getting 12.5l/100km. Basically granny driving, still waiting on those plugs to see if thats the issue, as I did a service last week.

No I havent changed it yet, I never got a CEL light but was thinking that could be an issue. I'll wait until I get the new sparkies in and see if that remedies the problem first.

Hah just asked cause my last fuel up went down pretty fast; normal driving, same route. Just wondering if my sensor is on its way out or something... Am i able to take them out for a visual inspection or are they real fragile or something?

guiz
a thought - our cars are tuned on/for japanese higher octane fuel (apparently 103RON) so basically the ep3r ecu will run richer as to not lean out with its required a/f ratio and overall tune.
So , either chuck in a local DC5R ecu and get alittle less HP but alittle better fuel economy - or stop complaining about it lol
