Same words my father just told me to do haha.
I think I may do that, but do you think that 2006 one I linked to is a bad deal or?

Well if everything is in A1 condition mechanically etc and you do manage to haggle them down then i would 'consider' it. (me personally)
But i have had a mate who bought one with about 120k kms on it, and the clutch on it was f*^&%# so he had to fork out more money to get a new one. Then again it depends how the owner drives, your one might not have any clutch problems or problems in general.
Its just something to keep in mind because thats the risk he took buying a car with that many kms on it.

I just saw ther car at the dealer and it was actually pretty impressive. Everything, including engine bay looked to be in great condition, plus the clutch and gears felt smooth. However, I didn't get to drive it that day because of the way it was positioned in the dealer. So visually it looks and feels nice, but only when I drive it I can get a feel for the clutch etc..
There was gutter rash on some wheels and rego expired on the 28th of July but they were willing to negotiate price, 12 months rego and fixing the gutter rash.
How is that high kms? It's around average for a 7 year old car?

well i got 80k kms for an 03 model and that car has been babied lol
how many kz does the one youre looking at got?
i consider 12-15k km/yr average for cars, so anything between 100-120k would sound about right?

Exactly, but sometimes dealers can be hard to deal with on warranty claims and for the premium you pay to buy from a dealer for what is usually only the bare minimum 3 month/5000km deal, and that doesn't cover what they deem wear and tear, it's usually not worth it. Call the $ you saved your warranty
Still, if it's a nice car and you can get them to knock a couple of grand off it, go for it. They're hard to find as a manual, and even harder to find those rims. If you can find a 2007 model, you might find one with black interior.
I'd say 20,000km/yr is a little on the high side of average, in my experience 12,000-15,000 is more the norm.
Examples with under 100,000 kms will still come up for sale, but they'll probably sell a lot quicker. It seems that cars with over the magic 100,000kms on the odo hang around for sale a bit longer, but you can probably get a very sharp deal on one.

well 12-15k for city driving
if the bloke lives an hour from the city and is on the hwy all the time, anything up to 30k per year would sound safe
i had a mate buy an ek civic with 280k kms and the thing runs like mint

this
id rather buy a second hand car where the owner babied his car and save myself some $$$, rather than a dealer that offers warrently

Ah I get you.
The only thing holding me back (besides the money ) is that I don't know if I should wait for another to go up for sale and risk it or settle for this one. Not that settling us a bad thing, like you said, I know it's quite rare to find a modulo kitted one let alone a manual lux. But 120,000 shouldn't be considered too high I hope.. I saw the log books, everything was serviced at Doncaster Honda up until where it is right now. I am just stuck on what to do here..

Sorry to bring this back up, but what is the difference in a 2005 made MY2006 Lux model and a 2006 made one? Is it basically the old model with exterior changes?

If they are both MY06 spec, they should be the same. Not sure on the exact date manufacturing changed over, someone else may know?
The facelifted Euro Lux has the usual cosmetic changes (bumpers, grille, bonnet, headlights and 9 spoke alloys), plus trip computer update and auto-dimming rear mirror (you can tell because there will be a button under the mirror). It has the updated steering wheel with illumination and white/blue backlit dash lighting.
The last of the pre-MY06 Euro Luxes came with the 10-spoke Euro R 17" wheels instead of the earlier 5 spokes 16" common to both standard and lux spec.
My Lux came with a full alloy 5th wheel as a spare. I think some of the earlier ones may have had a space saver or steel wheel.
