Just something I read. Not saying it has any credibility.

If it doesn't comply with your own logic and understanding, why speak about it? Not trying to bash you specifically or anything but I cant stand people who spread 'what they heard' when it doesn't make sense to them, for the sake of carrying conversation or sounding smart.

I have a mate like that and when I tell him he's wrong about something he gets pissy with me, all because he chooses to listen to another guy who's 'doing well' for himself, so he must therefore know everything about the world and how it works.

If your only looking at replacing shocks, I would go with an upgrade from stock. You'll probably get a heap of recommendations for Japanese stuff, but I would be looking at Koni Yellows or similar, absolutely fantastic shock for the price, adjustable and able to be used with a stock spring.

Bear in mind if one is gone, then the others are likely to follow, do it once and do it right.

Lately i've noticed that when i'm driving on the highway or around 100km/h, the car feels a little unstable... I can feel the car sway a tiny bit and the steering feels sorta loose, I can hear fluctuating wind flutters around my windows like its really fighting against me and anything above 120 feels like I'm driving a piece of paper in the wind... well maybe not that extreme haha.

You guys reckon this is an alignment issue? I've also made sure all lug nights are tight, checked to see if there's play in the wheel bearings and sway bars.

Agree - the older you get you do tend to sway towards replacement shocks/springs with subtle drops rather than hardcore lowering springs or adjustable "coilover" setups.
I had the mugen suspension replacement shocks/springs and found the drop and ride great. Recommend it to anyone with a EP3.
