Accord Euro 2006 - Malfunction Light on

    Hi,

Accord Euro 2006 Auto. Last night I was driving home and the Malfunction light + VSA light suddnely came on. So i pulled over and restarted the engine - the VSA light dissapeared, however the MIL was still on. I had no choice but to drive the car back home with the MIL on.

This morning the MIL was still on when i started the car. Any ideas on what i can do to rectify this ? The light has never come on before.

Are there any recoomendations of good Honda mechanics around Sydney's south area (i'm around Hurstville) ?

    Thanks very much.

Get the CEL code read using an obd2 reader. Find out what was wrong. Fix that and then clear the error code with the same obd2 reader

if its engine and VSA at the same time, possibly APP sensor

but if the engine light remains on without VSA - probably something else.

the dealership has come back and says the APP sensor is at fault, will cost $490 to fix (will take 2 days for the part to ship from Melbourne). Does this sound ok ?

You can buy the part from oemacuraparts or similar website from USA and it will set you back around $250. APP sensor is in a very easy spot to access and would take approx 30 - 45 minutes to swap over
