in that thread they suggested a 2ohm resistor on the sensor - this does NOT work as i have tried it myself. anyone is free to prove me wrong though.

As for the first two options, i doubt anyone would be too excited to attempt them.

Defqon was good but as Johnny said, I expected more as well..
