Good quality disc is paramount as well.

People, I bought a copy of the V18 DVD for my MY09 CU2 from a guy on this forum.
It came on a no name disc and worked perfectly in my car.
Decided to make a backup just in case the disc failed later on. I used CDBurner XP on my Windows 7 pc to make an ISO image and stored it on my pc harddisk. I then used the same software to copy the ISO image to a TDK DVD-R disc and it works perfectly in my car.

Not sure if TDK is good quality or not and it is definitely not dual layer but it works well.

Sorry guys, just realised this is a CL9 thread

You are definitely right , as far as I know ...Look at the largest file of your disc and you will see :

    File Types: (Large Files' extension)
    .BAS (CU2 Version, Alpine Reader)
    .KWI (CL9 Version, Mitsubishi Reader)

1GB is not too big for download my friend ....

Never mind I answered my own question. I used the program called 7-Zip and then burnt the files onto a DVD disc. Sadly it seems I have the Mitsubishi Reader and require the disc with the .KWI file. If anyone knows of who would have this disc or where to get it from for cheap please share.

If I can obtain a copy I will upload and share it on here. Remember sharing is caring
