I advise if you are already thinking it could be dodgy get a proper inspection complete, not all big accidents are recorded therefore it may not be on revs/ppsr but may have been in an equivalent accident.

Also as others have stated if its 2001 dc2r yellow should have the yellow recaro's, yellow stitching and all other features.

    goodluck

Hard to tell from the pics, but on top of the other comments, the alignment of the holder under the stereo looks a bit haphazard.

Personally I wouldn't be looking at it based on the photos - but that's just me. Probably a lesson there for the seller.

Edit: Thinking on it, wrong badges, no yellow seats (I don't know enough about this to comment one way or the other), what looks like poor front panel alignment, compliance plate location, stereo area alignment, not the original shifter knob (possibly just a taste mod) - makes me wonder if might have been stolen and repaired at some stage in its life. No way of knowing I guess.

wouldn't even bother checking it out tbh, like everyone said everything is misaligned, though badges might be personally choice? i doubt it but haha, the carpet is in pretty bad shape, interior overall i probably would say the kms aren't a true 83k.....

hmmm wow you guys can tell a lot from a photo , you can see also the paint is not in the best condition all over but you can tell parts have been resprayed or removed due to maybe a clutch job etc?

i thought these come with recaros those alone are worth easily $600+ ,

ive been looking at quite a few DC5Rs and DC2Rs to purchase and it seems like common practice to take out "oem" items like seats etc and replace with lower spec but still be asking the price of a complete type r

In many cases, the car has been stolen and had things such as the seats and wheels removed. When the car is found, they are replaced cheaply with inferior items.

Should take it to get it fully inspected. Most Dc2r have been in somesort of accidents.
