I have a physics question for you guys.
So I've installed the HIDs few days ago, everything was fine.
Except, I'm not sure if it's me or, it seems that the light emitted seems to be aimed lower than standard halogen? I'm not sure if it's just normal, and the HID is just intensifying the normal beam pattern on the road.
In otherwords, it feels like I have to align the headlights HIGHER not lower.
I think is it due to the HID being a much longer bulb, and the light emitted sits right into the "cone" of our headlights? While the halogens, the light bulb doesn't even reach that cone. (hope that makes sense).
So am I being crazy, or is there some reasoning around there.?

SharkChu, you are not being crazy. I don't know the reason but you are right.
I fitted those HID's about 3 years ago. The light is so much more intense and white but definitely not as far reaching as standard.
When I lived in a rural area and started work really early you really appreciated how good they were. Everyone commented on how bright my lights were, but I never got
flashed or got complaints.
I always wondered about this myself.

hid is not designed to work in reflector headlights like regular bulbs..
hid need a projector to aim the light or it just scatters light everywhere and blinds other drivers
please learn and understand what mod you do before just fitting it on

Oh I know that, I bought the Lights willing to throw them away, just wanted to see how good/bad the light scattering is. But with the ones I have currently, they almost mimic the halogen pattern, and it's 2 very distinct lights, not all merged and glarey like the one titled "reflector based"
If you have a read a page back on my post about it.. Haha I'll put up a picture sometime.
