I used to have a Genuine Sparco Bucket Seat that I turned into a computer chair. Takes up too much space!

Anyone know how to bypass the Sensors for the airbag in the seat? Once I remove the OEM seat the airbag light will show on the dash

The same issue I have now.. after hours if searching, the "paper clip" can trick the sensor, but only for that cycle, once u turn car off and back on, the sensor will be back on. My mate's dad is a honda mechanic, he basically said.. "put the OEM seats back in to remove the airbag light" .. Which defeats the purpose!

Or, remove the bulb, and hope you wont need your airbags ever..

I have an idea. Cut a small piece of electrical tape and cover the airbag light area LOL. Peel it off when you want to check. Out of sight out of mind LOL jokes :P

But seriously, the light is still on even when you plug in new seats?

When you turn your car on, the computer sends a test signal to all airbags to check if they are ok. The airbags will check themselvs and send a signal back if everything is good to go and the light will be off. Your paper clip works because it creates a signal to the computer AFTER the test signal has been sent. Hence, light is off. So when you turn the car off and back on, the signal is shorted when test signal is sent and no "ok" signal returned. I think you can program a micro-controller to send a signal back after receiving a signal from computer, say after 1 second. It will most likely turn the light off. Try to do this by yourself to test if this work first then automate it with a micro-controller. Should be a 3-line program LOL easy as fk :P But whether your airbag will deploy or not, you will have to try it yourself LOL but modding it this way is definitely safer and less hassle than removing the bulb

The police could use it as a reason to defect you.
