    How do I remove these?

    Hey guys two quick questions.
    1. How do I remove hoses with these type of things. Also what are they called?

    2. What is this and how do I unplug/remove it? Next to the oil filter on a b18.

    Thanks in advance guys!

    1. That is crimped on, you cannot remove it

    2. Oil pressure switch
Carefully pry around the rubber cover and then pull it out

So i can't remove the crimp? I don't need it to be reusable as I'm removing the power steering.

Then you remove it from the power steering pump and power steering rack

But that specific section in the hose cannot be disconnected

Thanks for your help dorikin. Do you mind if I ask one last question?
So this is what my supply hose looks like. I have already disconnected the return line as you can see. Do I have to disconnect the supply hose even further down or.....?

the 1st power steering hose picture you posted and the last picture you posted....

one end bolts to steering rack, other end bolts to steering pump.no connections in between.

looks like there is a leak somewhere from the buildup of gunk.

Hm yeah. The first picture I posted was to mainly ask about crimps.

Sorry but I am having trouble finding where it bolts. So do I disconnect it after the metal piping? Cause it goes from the rubber hose to the crimp then to the metal pipe.

keep following it, it ends up at the steering rack gearbox. 14mm head flare nut

between metal crimp and steering rack gearbox, steel hose is attached to the subframe by 2 plastic clips.
