Not sure, it's not my car. But it would have to be as they're 7.5" +55 which would definitely be tight fit on stock, and if you have coilovers you'll most likely have problems.
I run FN2R rims on my FD1, with no spacers, and have not encountered any issues with turning or anything of the like. It's also dropped on king springs.
Sorry, photos are bad, since I had to screenshot them off my phone, then fb them to my mate to transfer to my computer because I'm lazy like that. Anyways, they're plastidipped anthracite.

You dont need spacers to run them. That white FD is actually my friend from schools little brothers old FD. (Friend owns that S2000)
No trouble at all.
P.S Daniel.29 is a ricer fegit that would do Eel Soups for $20
As far as I know they are a direct fit. I'm not sure why anyone would deliberately decide to run them though (unless they can find them really cheap), because they are *really* heavy.
FN2 18x7.5 = 12.4 kg (crikey)
A good 17x7.5 = 7kg; so effectively at the ratio of approximately 4:1 (for the effect of reducing the weight of the wheels) that saves 86 kg (bloody heck!) from your car!
