    So can you straight swap a d16y4 in a hrv ? Will it bolt up and would you need to do any wiring?

    The AUDM HRV is non vtec d16w - If you went y4 you would need the y4 ecu and wires for vtec.

    I assume the HRV is obd2b and assume it has an FX01 immobiliser chip. So the immobiliser chip in the ecu would need to be swapped.

    The JDM HRV comes with a vtec variant so I would also assume the Y4 would bolt into the audm model.
    There was also a JDM model that was 2wd - So I reckon it would be worth pulling the 4wd system from the hrv to save weight as it is a near useless system anyway.
