This has been on Honda's since 1995 i think, well my 95 Civic Auto you had to press the brakes before you can select R from P.

This purpose of this vent behind the bumper is actually for air pressure inside the car. When you close the door the excess air is expelled through this vent. Next time you have your bumper off, open the rear left door and close it again (with all other doors and windows closed) and you will notice the little rubber seal over the vent pop open as the air rushes out....
Highly technical huh?!
No longer a Honda Euro driver...

someone mentioned this before, but i just noticed it last week when i went to the snow...
on the 06 euros, when the temp gets to about 2degrees celcius, the trip computer beeps and shows u a picture of a snowflake...
has anyone seen their temp have a reading of below zero?? lowest i saw on mine was 0deg, and wasn't sure if the computer will go down to minus, or if it just wasn't that cold...
ski season is crapola in 2006

not sure if you know or not - im only up to page 9 of 26 :P - but newer volvos (maybe older too?) have a motor to add vacuum assist to brakes when the engine isnt running.

Last night I noticed something...
If you have turned off your engine but the lights are still on, when the power windows stop working (after 45 seconds), the lights on the power window switches go out too!

1 thing i find annoying is that the euro does not have the ability to switch off all lights, after u pluck out the keys.. even a kia rio has it for a few years already ..

The assorted lights actually do turn off after removing the key, but it takes a few minutes.
I know this because when I was installing something in my euro, the cabin would go pitch black every so often. I had to keep on pressing that small open-door trigger to make the car think a door just opened/closed.

this is more a lack of feature, but ill mention is anyway. the 03 euro doesnt have the seatbelt warning chime - and i love it! i hate that stupid dinging noise new cars make when you dont click teh seat belt in - not the 03 euro tho

My latest discovery is that if the car is on jacks and when you start the engine, the car won't stop buzzing you with the same seat belt warning chime!
Also when the alarm goes off you can start your car no problems and drive it no problems but of course the alarm horn is still beeping. This also is the same with mazda 3 dealer installed alarms. Isnt it ment to immobilise the car, as far as i know the government in WA enforces all cars to have an immobiliser.

An interesting thing I noticed today is that if you leave the handbrake on while driving (mine was down but not all the way down) the trip computer chimes and shows a "Release Handbrake!" message on the screen.
Not sure if it happens on models prior to MY06 though.
Plus I think you need to enable the "show messages as text"(?) option in the trip computer setup screen.
