yeah.I agree.there's more to a car than straight line performance.I'd rather own a car with less kw and better handling than more kw and not so good handling!

gotta love holden and how they reckon they can compete with bmw ..ha
they can't even compete with honda mazda or subaru..
like i said to a mate of mine.."i know it does 13.4 but it's still a holden and it's only a matter of time before the problems start to creep in".

lol@holden... thats what happens when you constantly release sub standard cars using 10year+ old technology (they still use pushrods for the V8's for example) then rush and play the catch-up game and try to copy German cars where the technology has already matured.

Still prefer Holden over Ford though lol..

The thing is recalls are fine, but recalls for such problems that shouldn't have happened in the first place are ridiculous!

A seat belt buckle that releases itself shouldn't pass ADR in the first place!

the old push rods are from the late 50's i think from trucks...

they will always be bommodores to me. fair enough they are good to drive around a family of 5 and can tow a trailer but yeh over priced and lack of quality, they say they spent over 1 billion on development...i reckon half went on developing the marketing! holden and ford get good parts from around the world and chuck it together to make a car. so a car is never fully engineered from top to bottom thats why i think they arent that great.

I'll stick with jap cars, maybe top model euros when im rich

I can't help but laugh when people say pushrod technology is old.... when DOHC was first used in a Fiat in 1912!!!! DOHC is just as old. (just slightly younger) HAHAHAHAHAH
