please dont hesitate to delete this if I am hikacking this thread in any way.
If you get the wiring for one taillight, you have one socket that has 3 wires and two that has 2 wires. You are using the two same ones that has only 2 wires coming out.
When you pull out the taillight, you will see 3 sockets, you need the top one which is parker/brake socket.
there are 3 wires, black(oviously ground), green(brake) and red(parker).
You just need 4 simple wiring in total,
existing black + black on new(secondhand) socket,
existing red + the other wire left.
Unless your taillight gasket is damaged, I dont see any reason why you need to weld the wires.
gasket is stopping water to leak in so you dont have to worry about short circuits.
just use electrcal tape and hold them tight.
Sorry no pictures as I am working right now and I dont want to hijack this thread.
My way is nothing different to EK4R but less wiring.
