    Egg Damage

    Hey guys,

A couple of months ago i had my car parked out the front of a mates house on a main road for about 20 minutes.
I didnt realise til the next day cause it was dark at the time but whilst there someone had driven past and thrown two eggs at it.

Its left two pretty obvious markings on the right hand side of the car, one above the front wheel on the guard and one just behind the rear wheel on the rear bar.

Just wondering if anyones had similar scratches fixed on a Graphite Euro?

ive been to a smash repairers and they said the rear one could be fixed on the plastic bar by respraying the whole bar again to match the paint.

They advised against fixing the front marking on the guard as they werent 100% certain they'd be able to get the colour matched with the car and i dont want the guard being a slightly different colour.

Has anyone had a graphite euro repaired in sections? if so does it stand out?

Any ideas would be good, everytime i look at the car it bothers me.

I'll try post some pictures of the damage up when i get a chance.

i have a graphite euro also and had it repsrayed on the drivers side, that includes drivers side door, rear passenger door, rear quarter and the rear bumper. i dont have any problems with the color matching and i cant see the difference in colour and it doesnt stand out.

Sorry to hear about you're car getting egged, some people just have nothing better to do other than damage other peoples property! As for matching the paint, it'll obviously depend on where you take the car. Go to some cheap place and chances are the paint wont be as good as another place with more experience (and higher price to match).

If there's no dent on it just use touch up guys. Last time i had a really bad scratches on my front bumper & the dealer sent me a touch up guys to fix it. Only took 1-1.5 hours to do it. The guy sanded down & sprayed the bumper, the paint matched as well.

if a repair shop says they CANT match the pain colour of a car (factory colour), even if its aged. then you DONT go to that shop for repairs.

I have no idea how bad a damage an egg can do to the paint, do you have any pics? Can't the paint cleaner and claybar remove it?

sorry to hear that.. touch up sounds a good idea. they usually do it quick and pro, but must be the correct OEM paint of Honda.

My friend's car also got thrown by egg couple weeks back. Lucky he saw and clean them.. but dont have time to chase that stupid gay who just jealous with nice cars.. LOLz...

    Good luck for u mate.!
