Thats me! :)
Any HID recommendation in melbourne are? had my euro for a month and really eager to do some mods :D
2k HIDS...
what made the change? ;-)
+ auto leveller (legal requirement for all cars fitted with HID / Xenon / BiXenon)
+ correct HID headlight projectors from the Luxury model
+ correct bulbs (under 6000k I think?)
- the HID washer is apparently not required in the USA and IMO they don't really do much good unless you drive on dirty / muddy / unsealed roads or never wash your car.. it is also annoying when your car is recently washed then you need to spray your windscreen and the jetwashers also spray water onto your headlights.. and bonnet!
somehow Autobarn in Underwood Brisbane sells these HID conversion bulbs and in order to protect themselves they put a sticker "NOT FOR ROAD USE" and they also sell wheel spacers too!
it annoys me when i get blinded by an oncoming car with illegally fitted HID bulbs in their halogen headlights... and unfortunately the a lot of them are Jazz / Civic / widebody Accord...
The worst thing about the aforementioned cars is the reflector setup of the HID's. They cause way excessive glare - the HID's in these cars don't make you look cool, they make you look like a wanker.
The V6 Accord Luxury does have the reflector housing but it was specifically designed to cut out glare (surprised me as I most cars have projectors).
Don't even get me started on 55W HID fog lights.
If I'm on gympie rd then i must have left chermside apple store.
I'm a wanker =.= then. 55w hids 8000k low and fog, 12000 k high beams
. Cree led reverse lights
Not sure why but I'm starting to like Halogen again
I was surprised whenever I read this kind of message because aftermarket HID on those cars are not that bad compare to an OEM HID on a 4WD SUV coming your way... I was blinded by Q7 and the likes (big tall car) eventhough I'm on a CX9. I blink at them (because I thought they forgot to turn of their high beam), but they blink at me back (which prove that I was blinded by their OEM HID low beam) :(
Are you sure? here is what 12000K HID looks like: https://encrypted-tbn1.google.com/im...HGMqWeYVaL81dQ
and again (as I saw this posted so many time on Ozhonda) here is the comparison chart:

.... Whats wrong with some plain old 4300's..... You see better with them
Anyway.
For anyone who wants to keep it legal, yet improve light output , I recommend Philips HIR 2. Can get them cheap on Amazon (about $35-40 a pair shipped - they are like more than double that in Aus). They are very popular on US forums and apparently the best upgrade you can get for halogen reflectors thats still legal and wont produce glare. Colour is not true white, definitely more on the yellow spectrum but noticeably more white than stock.

^^^^ pretty sure that the point of the thing, a scratch protector.
I dunno. ain't gonna help if you're going to get a forward moving scratch ya.'mean?
^ Osram Nightbreakers, best legal halogens.
They rather we have shitty light so we can't see
Ah lol! Are you sure the guy on the phone knew what HIR2 are ? It's not a commonly known acronym. He could have even thought you meant HID lol. And could he reference you to the appropriate section in writing... I have to admit Im not familiar with the RTA laws as Im in Vic. Would seem strange though if illegal being what they are.
Hey guys,
I just bought a 2012 euro and was wondering if the mugen replica kits from bodykits kingdom fit on the new face-lifted euro. If they do anyone know a good painter in Perth?
Cheers :)
Anyone having 20L/100km in their euro? wondering if its normal for CU2
i can still tolerate 15 but i think 20 is not how it supposed to be?
any experienced euro can tell me?:eek::eek:
i can say that the fuel meter is not that great... today i was thrashing it around the metro (60km/h-70km/h)... at 3/4 tank had 550KM till refuel. Hit the m5 (100km/h-110km/h) and jumped to 660KM till refuel. went metro (60km/h) no thrashing kept under 2000rpm and i got 600KM till refuel...
I only use the fuel metre for when it's 80-100km left on it. I'll get around 60-80km before I'm almost empty.
So when the yellow light comes on? Me too
iv driven upto 40km after the reading shows 0km left
Wow, up to 40km? I think I've driven at most... 10-15km? And then when I went to refill, I filled up to 67L on petrol when our tanks are 65L? Lol.
That figure probably doesn't include the reserve. I think it's usually about 5l.
got the gloss door pillars today, I like em! :)
easy to install (just make sure you line it up first, 3M is some strong shit lol)
just one of those subtle mods that improve the overall look imo.

i like those very much... heaps better imo.
and yeah sometimes i pour over 65L so not sure if i shud be telling the servo people to re-calibrate their pumps or not?? or is it me?
Finger prints magnet.....
Even the normal one gets finger prints if you armour all yer car
Looks so nice
cars black.. going to get prints anyway lol, worth it IMO
my 2 week old MY13 is anywhere between 8.5 and 14 usually
if I gun it a bit it jumps to 16/17
You gunning it from lights to light or something. Thrashing mine i still get 7.7 not saying its accurate to buy still
wth guys 14-20L??? i thrash mine to shit sometimes, ive never gotten above 12
lowest ive gone is 8.7~ and that was a stable figure for a few months
but as drove different roads it now stays at 9-10L after 4 and a half years
Also i stuffed up the door "touchup" (now a 40cm square "ding") AGAIN
i got it so perfect this time and blended but it fkn started PEELING OFF WTF. i primed it and dried for a week and everything!
i fixed all the scratches on my front bumper and side skirts tho
forgot to blend it in but since i got it right once, dont wanna mess with it again. as long as the colour is right and surface is smooth is enough for me :)
$100 down but learnt so much just from this experience
roof spoiler installed, looks alright!

Hey Vaku,
Just bought the B pillar covers from the link you posted after seeing your pic, looks awesome! I have a MY13 Euro Lux. Its 100% stock at the moment, looking at changing the interior and rear license plate lights...you mentioned you swapped them out in yours and are happy with the result, got any specs on what you used and where you got them from?
I'm also looking at getting the drop in K&N filter soon...not sure about lowering or other mods yet.
Any other mods that you're looking at in the near future?
Nice :)
I forgot the site but it was a US one that sells the full led replacement kit so just swapped them over :)
Yeh my rims just arrived from Japan yesterday

not with me tho for another week ;(
think i got them from jdmconcept special order.
however installing it is not that easy. you need to take off the whole steering wheel similar to replacing the leather steering wheel with the sports steering wheel.
Also need to take the airbag off without deploying it.
OHH they look diff ok jdm concepts. i got a friend that works in honda he shoould know how to install.
thanks
That's nice, totally forgot how cool euros are
K24 can be pretty thirsty. Heck, the CL9 was tested as 9.9l/100km when it was on sale, and that car is over 100kg lighter than the CU2 which has the same motor. I find that a mixture of fwy and metro (not city) driving in my 6sp manual will average around 8.5. Just metro (when I say metro, I mean driving around town, 60km/h speed limits and lights every km or so, nothing like city) I get about 11-12l/100km. I would assume a CU2 auto would average 15l/100km in metro only driving. Worse if city driving is involved.
hmm...cant remember what mines is but i get about 700km on a full tank and that is with metro driving almost everyday and last about just under 2 weeks
not sure if the powerchip ecu tune has anything to do with it...but doesnt seem as thirsty as before...manage to get almost 900km on a full tank once or twice
20kw? Proven?
$$?
has been proven on the tsx models i4 model which is the same as ours here n the states...with the sri /cai option you need to install a barometric pressure sensor chip to pick up the air pressure that is being sucked. It is pretty much like a limitor without it.
well...saving about $40 fuel over two weeks is something as well as nitrogen air filled in the tyres is worth it as the car breathes better / improved torque overall especially in the low and mid range. safer than messing with a piggyback system which I might consider later if a supercharger kit comes out...and does not void warranty.
the baseline increase is 14 to 16kw on top of stock for the same price. if you have other mods like sri/cai and catback exhaust the gain is better for the same price. plus is cheaper and safer than a supercharger / turbocharger. it is 20kw min using 95ron petrol...bit more if using 98ron petrol.
Anyone on here planning to get the flashpro? o-o
