if they made 17inch tyres with a sidewall profile of 30-35, then maybe you could get it legal, but since they dont, you cant.
in nsw, there is a difference between:
- overall diameter modification allowed (tyre & rim combo - max 25mm from memory)
&
- max legal modification allowed for rims only (2" max from factory suggested size)

i got 17" rims for my civic .. no tyres yet, but plannin on gettin 215/40/17
i got a question too, could a 235/45/17 fit 17x7? :/ cause the otha guy ran 205/40 and thats like .. thin as sh*t..
..theres a way to avoid cops :/
just dont drive like a dikhead on mainroads :/
that includes sittin on the chair with one hand like a sick c*nt..
drive properly at least -.-"
So what happens when you change from say 15" to 17". Obviously your speedo will be out... can Honda fix that easily? Can some larger tyre places fix that? Would it cost much?
believe it or not, when i had 18" on my astina (it came 14" standard) and was getting things done for the engineers cert, i had to go to one of these speedo calibration place in sydney, they carried the tests and it came out "clean"... rule of the thumb is to keep the overall diameter as close to the factor setup as possible (thats how you get close to the factor speedo calibration)
