I have tried both in that size and would recommend the T1R. Main problem with F1 is that it screechs and squeals when going hard. The F1 feels a bit more precise and direct, but the T1R does feel a bit grippier.
Goodyear F1 Eagle GS-D3 don't have much grip.
They have extremely soft sidewalls. They have alot of side to side movement. They are however very progressive when they loose grip.
Goodyear F1 Eagle GS-D3 for $160ea??? ive got quoted 110 fitted and balanced.
this is at the tyre power in sunshine melb
well im in sydney, but that is a much better price.
i guess that's one of the good things about this thread. As every
tyre retailer has different prices, you at least can find out if you're
paying waaaay too much for a tyre, getting a good deal, or somewhere
inbetween.
thanks guys for the opinions. appreciate it.
the tyres needing replacement, actually are T1R's. Have no qualms with them.

apparently, the NSW distributor doesnt have any and cannot tell any dealers when they will be restocked with this S2-Z212's... so they told me that i'd be better off getting another tyre...
Lol, still no luck with any G3's or C.Drives (195/55/15) for under $150... best quote was $165 a piece...
I got quoted 220 for 15s for the goodyears! I used to have T1Rs and they were very good tyres. Grippy in dry and wet and they are very predictable. But you do need to keep the pressure up on these tyres.
