As far as i know if the type s and the type r have the same sussy and rim/tire set up. the type s has a more ridged feel due to the upgrade strut bar. but there almost identical.

the au Type S is based on the JDM Type R facelift model.

but anyway, comparing the base and typeS in terms of chassis strength, it's similar if anything you can't really notice the difference, unless you're at the limit say on a track. And ontop of that, I would really doubt you can tell the difference in chassis strength between a TypeS and a TypeR. One car may roll less but that probably isn't the chassis, but more the difference in springs/shocks.
